PRESS RELEASE
Township 7 Vineyards and Winery Wins Big at All Canadian Wine Championships
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wednesday, May 12, 2004
Langley’s Township 7 Vineyards and Winery, a small winery that has been gaining
national recognition since it’s opening less than three years ago, has once
again won gold.
At the 2004 All Canadian Wine Championships held last month in Windsor, Ontario, the Township 7 Vineyards and Winery 2002 Syrah was awarded a Gold Medal and Best of Category, while the 2001 Reserve Merlot was awarded a Gold medal.
In total, 878 wines were entered from British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Proprietor Corey Coleman is very gratified by the results. “There are only two national wine competitions held in Canada, and we’ve been fortunate to win significant awards at both. Winning last year’s White Wine of the Year at the Canadian Wine Awards for our Chardonnay really helped put us on the map and the recognition we’ve been gaining in this year’s competitions further cements our growing reputation as one of British Columbia’s best wine producers.”
Township 7 wines are
available at the winery in south Langley and at many of the best restaurants and
private wine stores in Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and other parts of the
Lower Mainland.
