British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governor Presents Award of Excellence to Township 7 Vineyards and Winery

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dec 1/04

A Langley-based winery received the province’s top honours at a ceremony celebrating the 2nd Annual Lieutenant Governor’s Awards of Excellence in British Columbia Wines held at Government House in Victoria on November 26th.
All British Columbia wineries were invited to submit wines to a tasting panel of wine industry professionals. Only five wineries in the province were recognized for their outstanding achievements. One of those five was Township 7 Vineyards and Winery.

The honourable Iona Campagnolo presented winery proprietor Corey Coleman with the distinction. Mr. Coleman was pleased to accept the award for the Township 7 Vineyards and Winery 2002 Syrah. “This kind of recognition means a great deal to us. Township 7 Vineyards and Winery is a small producer and a relatively new winery, and we feel honoured that our wines are consistently being recognized amongst the best in the province and country.”

This year’s Canadian Wine Awards, the country’s largest wine competition, announced their results on November 25th. Township 7 Vineyards and Winery was awarded four medals, another stellar showing for the small winery.

Township 7 Vineyards and Winery is located in south Langley at 21152 – 16th Avenue. The winery sells their wines direct from their wineshop, and to many of the best restaurants and private wine stores in the Lower Mainland.
