PRESS RELEASE
Township 7 Vineyards and Winery’s Latest Crop Wins Big
For Immediate Release
February 3, 2005
Langley based Township 7
Vineyards and Winery continued it’s winning ways at last month’s B.C. Wine and
Oyster Festival by picking up a gold medal for their 2003 Chardonnay and a
silver medal for their 2003 Semillon.
These awards come not long after the winery received the province’s top honours
at a ceremony celebrating the 2nd Annual Lieutenant Governor’s Awards of
Excellence in British Columbia Wines held at Government House in Victoria late
last year.
All British Columbia wineries were invited to submit wines to a tasting panel of wine industry professionals. Only five wineries in the province were recognized for their outstanding achievements. One of those five was Township 7 Vineyards and Winery.
“This kind of recognition means a great deal to us. Township 7 Vineyards and Winery is a small producer and a relatively new winery, and we feel honored that our wines are consistently being recognized amongst the best in the province and country, commented owner Corey Coleman.
The recently held Canadian Wine Awards, the country’s largest wine competition, also awarded Township 7 Vineyards and Winery with four medals, another stellar showing for the small winery.
Township 7 Vineyards and Winery is located in south Langley at 21152 – 16th Avenue. The winery sells their wines direct from their wineshop, and to many of the best restaurants and private wine stores in the Lower Mainland.
