Township 7 sparkles with small lot cuvée series

An outstanding feature on our seven stars sparkling wine collection by wine writer James Nevison, in the Province last week, with reviews of VEGA, RIGEL and POLARIS. He writes…

“One winery that has really focused on sparkling wine is Naramata and Langley-based Township 7 Vineyards… And when it comes to wine I’m still in the mood for fizz. Fortunately, great local bubbly is easy to find. One winery that has really focused on sparkling wine is Naramata and Langley-based Township 7 Vineyards and Winery. Producing their first traditional method sparkler more than 20 years ago, Township 7 has expanded their sparkling wine program under their Seven Stars small lot cuvées series — including these three bottles that recently found their way into my coupe…

Vega – pouring a bright straw-colour, it presents quite fruity and floral. Orchard fruit and honeyed tones are complemented by a fresh, zesty finish in this easygoing, aromatic sparkler

Rigel – the more golden-hued Rigel brings serious citrus and mineral notes. The overall style is unapologetically leaner and sharper, with a tart lemony stance and a lingering, snappy finish.

Polaris – creamy with big time lemon and brioche — this is a robust and engaging bottle that finishes elegantly fresh.

Considering that all three sparklers are varietals it would make a fantastic evening to gather some friends, prep some food, and pour all three sparklers side by side. What a great way to appreciate just how diverse bubbly styles can be.

Bubbly that is perfect for capping off Lantern Festival celebrations this evening or Oscar party festivities next month!
