Beppi Crosariol, Globe & Mail

The new, New York-designed labels for this 14-year-old winery sport a clean, minimalist look with a big red “7” front and centre. But the wine is anything but plain. Thanks to a cool, long growing season, it exhibits subtle layers of cassis, mint, black-olive tapenade and black tea, more reminiscent of the crisp, firm style of Bordeaux’s Medoc district. Medium-fullbodied.” Jan. 16, 2014

This wine begins with aromas of cassis and black cherry. The rich palate delivers flavours of black currant, black cherry and chocolate with hints of cigar box. I heeded the winery’s recommendation to decant this wine. It would be even better to cellar this for perhaps five more years.” Feb. 1, 2014

Outstanding – Eric Degerman, Great Northwest Wine Magazine

Bradley Cooper has been producing wine for this property on British Columbia’s beautiful Naramata Bench since 2005, and he’s making his mark with Bordeaux varieties from this site on the acclaimed Black Sage Bench, just north of Oroville, Wash. The nose hints at Chukar Cherry, NECCO Wafer candy, sagebrush and a fresh-cut noble fir. Sauve flavors feature Royal Ann cherry, red currant and president plum, a blend that creates pleasing acidity, up-front tannins and good length. It’s fascinating and sassy.” December 3, 2013

BC Wine of the Week – Anthony Gismondi, Vancouver Sun

There is nothing easy about growing Cabernet Sauvignon in the Okanagan but in this case this 2009 Oliver-based vineyard delivered. Savoury black fruit with hints of sagebrush, coffee and ripe black olives and bits of chocolate preview some youthful, blocky tannin that will need a couple more years in bottle to dissipate. Warm and rich, you can decant and serve this now with big meat dishes to best effect, or cellar through 2018.” February 6, 2013

Township 7 shows consistency and quality in their wines. Wines, which offer generous fruit but
also structure and complexity. Wonderfully fragrant – chocolate, mint leaf and cassis, hints of plum and dried herbs, spicebox and the scent of wild strawberries on the tail end. On the palate there is a slight chewiness from fine tannins, some nice focus with balanced acidity that lifts flavours of dark fruit, tobacco, brown spices and toasted oak. 15% Cabernet Franc blended in, 26 months aged in French and American oak barrels.
