Meet Steve Latchford – Township 7’s Vineyard Manager

Steven Latchford was born near Ontario’s Prince Edward County, learning about hard work and creativity at an early age. This combination laid the foundation for his career blending agriculture with creativity. At 18, Steve enrolled in the Niagara College Teaching Winery program, graduating in 2004 while working at Jackson-Triggs.

In 2007, he moved to British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, joining Lang Vineyards before stepping into the role of Head Winemaker and Operations Manager at Therapy Vineyards for 10 years. Steve later became a custom crush winemaker at Okanagan Crush Pad, producing wines for over a dozen boutique wineries.

During the pandemic, Steve pivoted to lead winemaking, vineyard, and business development for Second Chapter Winery and Rainmaker Wines. In 2021, he returned to Lang Vineyards to oversee winery and vineyard operations.

In 2025, Steve joined Township 7 as Vineyard Manager, bringing with him over two decades of winemaking and vineyard management expertise. His deep understanding of the Okanagan’s diverse terroirs, sustainable farming practices, and commitment to quality viticulture make him an invaluable asset to our team. Steve now leads our vineyard operations across both estate and grower sites, working closely with our winemaking team to ensure exceptional fruit quality that defines every bottle of Township 7 wine. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the family.
