We are beyond thrilled to share that Township 7 Vineyards & Winery has been awarded “Wine of the Year” at the 2025 British Columbia Wine Awards for our 2017 seven stars SIRIUS Late Disgorged (LD) — a remarkable recognition of our dedication to crafting exceptional sparkling wines.
This award represents more than a single vintage; it’s a celebration of nearly a decade of passion, patience, and precision. Since the launch of our seven stars program, winemaker Mary McDermott and our talented team have championed the méthode traditionnelle, meticulously producing wines that embody both elegance and complexity.
“SIRIUS LD is a labour of love. We allowed this wine to rest en tirage for 72 months to develop layers of nuance and depth before disgorgement,” says McDermott. “This recognition is not only an honour for our team, but a tribute to the growers, the land, and the craft that have shaped every bottle.”
Celebrating with a Limited-Edition Release
To mark this milestone, we are releasing two exclusive seven stars collections — each hand-numbered and featuring the award-winning 2017 seven stars SIRIUS LD, signed by winemaker Mary McDermott. Only 24 sets of each collection will be released, making them a rare addition for collectors and sparkling wine enthusiasts.
