Township 7 Winery First in B.C. Wines Sales at Farmers’ Markets

We are thrilled to be the first artisan winery selling wines at their local farmers’ market in British Columbia. On June 29th, our south Langley winery opened a stall at the White Rock Farmers’ Market, making it the first Farmers’ Market in the province to have local wine sampling and sales.

This follows shortly after the recent modernization of government liquor laws. The recent improvements to provincial legislation allowing local wine, beer and spirits at Farmers’ Markets took effect on June 21st of this year. The updating was part of the 73 recommendations in the B.C. Liquor Policy review with the goal of creating new economic opportunities for local businesses and helping to complement the sales of B.C.-grown foods. The province joins other Canadian jurisdictions (Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia and Quebec) that allow local wine sales at Farmers’ Markets.

From now until Thanksgiving, we’re offering tastings and  sales at the White Rock Farmers’ Market, Sunday’s from 9 am to 1 pm. The Market is located just a couple miles from our winery at Miramar Plaza at 15154 Russell Ave. Kudos to the White Rock Farmers’ Market for being at the forefront of supporting artisan wine (and local beer & spirits) producers!
