The IRONMAN Series reflects our commitment to community and our honour to share in IRONMAN Canada’s homecoming. Although this year’s Penticton race was cancelled, we are thrilled that next year’s competition on August 29, 2021 is sold out with a waiting list! We’ve created two unique blends only 300 bottles each to commemorate this iconic race.
For more than 30 years, the Okanagan has hosted some of the most iconic IRONMAN races in history. Just like this great bottle of Homecoming, the legend has been stored away for a time such as this to return to its birthplace and reunite with old friends. An aromatic blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Viognier and Riesling is made with fruit from select vineyards in Oliver and Osoyoos. ‘Summer in a glass’, it displays scents of peach, rose petals, pear and mandarin. The palate is slightly off-dry with apricot, orange rind, spice and citrus ensuring the balance between acidity and sweetness. Refreshingly unoaked, enjoy after the race to celebrate coming home.
Richter Pass, The Rollers, and climbing up to Yellow Lake has tested the limits of triathletes for decades as they have earned their IRONMAN status racing in the Okanagan. This bottle of T3 represents the full flavour of 30+ years of racing in Penticton and the colorful blend of human history created here. This red blend is crafted with grapes from select vineyards in Naramata, Oliver and Osoyoos. Made in a classic Bordeaux-style, the wine is predominately Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Merlot and a splash of Petit Verdot and Malbec. It displays abundant cassis, black cherry, eucalyptus, and lavender aromas. The soft palate is fruit forward with silky tannins and complexity based on the variety of terroirs. Flavours of black cherry and cassis are followed by cedar box and cocoa. Aged in American and French barrels for 18 months to retain fruitfulness. Enjoy the transition from Run to Celebration to the 3rd Transition.
