Canada’s Great Kitchen Party – Takeout

A few years ago we were proud to partner with Okanagan Chef Paul Cecconi in Canada’s Great Kitchen Party competition. We’re thrilled to continue this close relationship with him at Brodo Restaurant in Penticton and have worked with him on wine pairings for his special weekly “date night” menu.

The first menu has two courses… Start with a coriander house-cured prosciutto salad of mixed greens, shaved fennel, crispy Parmesan, sweet pickled peppers, and mustard and dill dressing. Main course, a ricotta gnocchi bake with smoked mushroom bolognese, roasted broccoli and kale, and gruyere cheese. Only $24 per person (not including wine). Add one of these select bottles to your order, and it will be waiting with your order when you pick it up: 2018 Pinot Gris (rated 90 points by both Daenna Van Mulligen and John Schreiner), or 2017 Pinot Noir (rated 92 points by Rick VanSickle). Call Brodo at 778-476-1275 by noon Thursday to order, then pick up dinner on Friday to enjoy over the weekend.

And continue the Great Kitchen Party at home, this Wednesday April 15th join a stellar lineup of Canadian talent for the first installment of Canada’s Great Kitchen Party – Home Edition! How to watch: The LIVE feed will be posted on their Facebook page on Wednesday just before 5:00pm PST. Hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, notable musicians include: Alan Doyle, Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo, Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies, Tom Cochrane, Barney Bentall and Sam Roberts, with more drop-ins being announced weekly. As well, Olympic gold medalist Tessa Virtue, Olympic silver medalist Curt Harnett, and Paralympic multi-medalist Benoit Huot are scheduled to make appearances – with many others in the weeks to come. Sit back, relax with a glass of Township 7 wine and make sure to share which restaurants you are supporting for #TakeOutDay!
