National Red Wine Day

It’s always a good time for red wine, however it’s especially good today — National Red Wine Day, a celebration of the many varieties of red wines. We have just the wine for that — our recently released 2019 NBO, Bordeaux style blend. Crafted with grapes from our estate Blue Terrace vineyard, that was planted over two decades ago, its stony soils retain heat throughout the cool Autumn evenings allowing the fruit to perfectly ripen. This premium blend is comprised of approximately 2/3 Cabernet Sauvignon and 1/3 Merlot, the Merlot adds subtlety and softness to the structure of the Cabernet Sauvignon. A full-bodied, single vineyard wine, it was barrel aged for 24 months in 225L French oak barriques. This vintage shows strong black currant, black cherry, and dark chocolate aromas. The generous palate follows of ripe black fruit and caramel, finishing with firmly textured but beautifully polished tannins.

Less than 500 cases made, it scored 92 points by BC Wine Trends and is available at our two wineries and online for $43.97. Great with robust cuisine, try grilled ribs or a Brant Lake Canadian Wagyu and brie burger.
