For more than 30 years, the Okanagan has hosted some of the most iconic IRONMAN races in history. Township 7’s Homecoming is a unique white wine crafted to celebrate the return of IRONMAN to Penticton. An aromatic blend of classic white varietals, it is crafted with premium grapes from long time growers in Oliver and Osoyoos. The blend is predominantly Viognier seconded by Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, with small amounts of Riesling and Gewürztraminer to create a balanced and scented wine. This vintage has fragrant aromas of peach, rose petals, pear and mandarin. The palate is slightly off dry with apricot, orange rind, spice and citrus flavours ensuring the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. Richter Pass, The Rollers, and climbing up to Yellow Lake has tested the limits of triathletes for decades as they have earned their IRONMAN status racing in the Okanagan. Township 7’s T3 represents the full flavour of 30+ years of racing in Penticton and the colourful blend of human history created here. An easily enjoyable red blend, this wine is made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot from Oliver, Osoyoos, and Naramata. Aged in American and French oak barrels for 18 months to retain fruitfulness. Made in a classic Bordeaux-style, it shows abundant black cherry and black current aromas supported by eucalyptus and cedar. The palate is fruit-forward with ripe cherry and blackberry flavours, followed by rich cocoa. Created especially for the Ironman race in Penticton this August, enjoy the transition from Run to Celebration to the 3rd Transition!
